Recently I told you I was feeling stressed out and depressed.
You all were so supportive and caring and kind, and talking to you guys really helped. Thank you guys so much.
I also took some of y'all's advice and just put my heart into my photography. I have so many photos to upload, and I feel content and really happy.
And most of them are car photos. Yes, out of a car.
Because we drove up to see the tornado damage a fiew towns over. It's awful. :(

Oh, and I'm happy too, beaause I think I might, maybe, possibly have a friend.
And that, would be wonderful.

Today was the best day I've had in a long time. A long, long time.
I've laughed so hard my sides hurt. I've smiled so big my face hurts. From 3 hours. Of fun. And throwing hay. And falling in holes in between hay. And being pulled out because I was laughing too hard to get myself out. And making dumb remarks because I was too exhausted to think straight. And driving a truck way under legal age. Proving that an 'Early Teen' girl can work and lift just as much as a 15-year-old boy and 50 year-old man. Smiling. Feeling so happy. Having a heck of a time.

Hair extensions – terms and information

Prebonded Hair Extensions: Also known as fusion hair extensions, iTip,UTip,VTip. Prebonded hair extensions, such a Great Lengths, are the most discrete hair extensions. Great Lengths patented bonds are keratin protein, keratin is the same protein that forms your hair,hair extensions,|,} skin and nails. Because Great Lengths’ patented keratin bond mimics the human hair’s molecular structure, it makes it compatible with elements such as heat, water and sunlight. Prebonded or fusion hair extensions are the easiest to maintain, you care for them much the same as you would your natural hair. The added benefit is that you have wonderfully thick hair with volume every day for up to six months. If not applied and removed by a trained technician you could risk damage to your natural hair.

Cuticle: The cuticle of the hair is the hard, outer layer which acts as a protective barrier for the softer inner structure.

Chemically treated : Chemically treated refers to processes such as colouring, bleaching, perming or straightening hair which weakens and damages natural hair structure.

Virgin Hair: The hair is sourced from Indian temples in virgin condition- meaning that the hair has never been treated, bleached or coloured.

Bonds: The bond is the site where the extension is attached to the natural hair. Great Lengths keratin protein is not a glue. It is a polymer compound whose molecular structure mimics human hair. Many other inferior hair extension methods use other polymers that do not behave like human hair which often lead to the deterioration of the bond and cause the hair to fall out. The Great Lengths Hair Extensions keratin bonds allow the hair to move naturally while at the same time having a strong hold on the hair without causing any damage to the hair shaft.

Weave Hair Extensions: Several sections of your own hair are tightly braided close to the scalp. A weft of hair is then sewn into the braid with a needle and cotton. If braids are made too tightly they can hurt and put strain on your scalp. Weaves are best for thicker hair because the braids take up a lot of your natural hair. Wefts can be obvious in very fine hair as there is not enough hair left to hide the weft. Weaves are generally made of wefts of artificial hair or low quality human hair.

Double drawn: Great Lengths hair is double-drawn. This is a laborious manual process whereby shorter strands are removed. When heat is applied to the metal rings, such as a blow dryer or hair straightener, the metal amplifies the heat on the hair inside it resulting in breakage.

No other hair extension company uses this method. Other hair extension companies bleach the hair in order to get the colour out, this destroys the cuticle and overall condition of the hair.

Clip In Hair Extensions: Clip in extensions are temporary extensions that are quick to apply for special occasions. The size of the clip in extensions can vary from one inch wide to a weft that contains 3-5 clips. You don’t have to be a pro to notice that the hair you got is not the hair you paid for. So, don’t be shy to ask if you could see your extensions before they are attached to your natural hair. If the extensions look shabby or you can see it’s not the 100% natural hair you asked for, return them and ask for new ones. Yes, you can do that! It’s your money!

Extensions are like stunt work and experiments – you shouldn’t try them at home. I’ve heard of some girls trying to make their own extensions using keratin glue and flat iron – No! No! No! The point of this procedure is to have longer, thicker hair, not to destroy the one you already have. Right? So leave it to the pros and, if your extensions start falling out, you have the right to ask for a free retouch.

Knowing what’s free and what you have to pay for is very important, girls. Hair extensions don’t exactly come cheap so getting ripped off is definitely not in your best interest. Consultations should be free, the same goes for the first follow up and corrections in case your extensions get messed up during the first couple of days.

Check your hairstylist’s credentials! “I can do it” won’t keep your extensions looking perfect for months, take my word for it. You should be allowed to see his/her portfolio, certificates and awards. In fact, a pro will have all of these laid out in front of you before you even get the chance to ask “How much it will cost me?".

Clip-ons extensions! If you ask me, this is the best, most budget-friendly option out there. Plus, you can decide when, if and how often you want to wear them, so your hair won’t suffer great damages. You can have them custom made for you or buy some of the readymade solutions, it all depends on your budget, preferences and how often or how long you want to use your extensions.

Natural hair can be Remy, non-Remy, with cuticles removed and silicone coated. Remy hair has overlapping cuticles, this hair is one of most natural looking ones and it’s comes from a human donor’s head. Non-Remy hair can be described as “second hand” hair because it’s mostly collected from brushes and whatnot. It is natural but not as shiny as Remy type because cuticles in this type are not going in the same direction. If you want extra shine you can choose between the hair without cuticles and the one coated with silicone. These types are a great quick fix but they are no match for Remy.

The hair used for your extensions can be synthetic or human, it all depends on the look you’re trying to achieve and your budget, of course. Human hair is a more expensive but definitely better, more natural looking option. However, not all human hair costs the same. Did you know, for example, that hair from European donors costs more than the hair from Asian donors?
